1m/min Drilling Speed|ZDSF150A Excavator‑Mounted DTH Drill Rig Granite Case
Customer Challenge
A foundation contractor in Lianjiang, Guangdong, struggled with extremely hard granite ground rated at 180 UCS. Their existing crawler drill delivered far‑too‑slow penetration rates. The project required 110 mm diameter holes, 1.5 m drilling depth, with a strict daily target of 200 completed holes. Low drilling efficiency put the whole construction timeline at risk. Facing potential contract penalties and rising labour expenses, the customer contacted us seeking a high‑output drilling solOur Solution &
Technical Communication
We reviewed their rock condition, hole parameters and daily production target during technical discussions. Instead of generic suggestions, we recommended the ZDSF150A excavator‑mounted drill. It features 420 dual‑motor drive, fitted with Taiwan YUKEN solenoid valves and US SUN priority flow cartridges, achieving 1 m per minute drilling speed. This attachment draws hydraulic power from the excavator’s breaker oil circuit. An external air compressor feeds compressed air to the DTH hammer, completing impact drilling, rock cutting and dust flushing for full‑cycle down‑the‑hole operations. It reuses the customer’s existing excavator to avoid extra capital expenditure.
On‑Site Result
Once put into service, the ZDSF150A performed steadily on 180 UCS granite. The site reliably reached 200 finished holes each workday. Project progress was greatly accelerated, and overall site operating costs were reduced. The contractor eliminated schedule delay risks and expressed high satisfaction with the unit’s field‑proven productivity and stable performance.
