Boost Quarry Output 250%: Hydraulic Splitters Solve Blasting & Low Productivity Headaches
1. Original Production Difficulties
The client owns a private limestone quarry in Suzhou, China. Hard limestone resists breaking by hand jackhammers. His 100-model excavator breaker only yields 80–150 tons daily, far below his production expectation. Besides, local blasting permit approval is highly restricted, leaving him with no efficient rock excavation method. The client reached out to find an affordable, high-output alternative solution.
2. Tailored Splitting Solution
After confirming his 1000-ton daily target, our technicians suggested four DL350 splitting rods paired with one electric hydraulic power unit for testing. Holes :46mm diameter, 0.7m hole spacing, 0.7m row spacing and 0.7m depth. The workflow is simple: drill holes, insert splitters, and start the power pack. At 60MPa working pressure, the wedge structure generates hundreds of tons of internal expansion force to crack rock safely.
3. Productivity & Cost Improvement
The trial reaches a steady 500 tons per day, marking a 250% productivity increase compared with the old breaker. It removes complicated blasting application procedures, cutting expenses on fuel, labor and breaker wear parts greatly. Quiet, vibration-free operation avoids public complaints. Satisfied with stable performance and better profit margin, our client then intend to order more sets to hit 1000-ton daily production goal.
