Application on integrated drilling and splitting machine

DL115 Drill & Splitter Case: Zhejiang Limestone Quarry Boosts Output 3–5X

1. Client’s Pain Points: Low Output & High Wear Cost on Hard Limestone
Client’s Zhejiang limestone quarry was banned from blasting. The customer originally relied on 210 hydraulic breakers to mine dense intact limestone (Mohs 3–5) with no natural fractures. The solid rock caused rapid rod abrasion, generating recurring spare part expenses. Daily production stalled at only 300 tons, far below their delivery target.
The site owned two excavators but no standalone drilling rigs. Separate rock splitters meant extra capital investment in rigs, while steep mountain slopes made manual equipment hauling time-consuming and costly. Faced with low efficiency and rising running costs, the client contacted us for a customized budget-friendly solution.

2. Custom DL115 All-in-One Solution Suited to Existing Equipment
Our technicians fully analyzed all site limitations first and ruled out standalone splitters that required additional drilling gear. We recommended the DL115 drill-splitter integrated unit.It combines drilling and splitting functions, runs off the excavator’s original hydraulic power with an electro-hydraulic control system for multi-scene operation. The optimized workflow: pre-split intact limestone with the DL115, then conduct secondary crushing with the client’s original breakers. No extra heavy machinery transportation is needed on rugged hillsides.

 3. Verified Site Results: Quantifiable Efficiency & Cost Advantages
After deploying the DL115, one excavator handles all drilling and splitting tasks alone. Frequent machine relocation on narrow slope zones is eliminated, slashing labor and transit time. Daily stone output increased to 1000–1500 tons, 3–5 times the capacity of single hydraulic breakers. Severe rod wear is greatly mitigated, which drastically lowers monthly consumable expenditure. The integrated machine fully eliminated the quarry’s production bottleneck and brought stable, visible profit growth.
